Our guest Sofia Haq graduated from UCLA in 2015 and has since been working in the business sector. After working in the marketing and operation departments of e-commerce luxury fashion sectors, Sofia founded Muslim Women Professionals, which is what we will be talking about today. Muslim Women Professionals is an organization that strives to elevate, empower, and mobilize a global network of Muslim women. And the organization itself strives to build resources from Muslim women to excel in their careers. We discussed topics like building allies in the workplace. She explains about creating spaces for Muslim women to network and build strong relationships within the community overall and build connections and a sisterhood.

MWP is all about networking and creating resources for Muslim Women to thrive in their workplaces. Many times we focus on getting a seat at the table that we forget to make connections with our community and provide a place of acceptance and support.
